Lets us now Smell our Televion Sets.....

A common reactions of Menes( & women's too no gender partiality)when our small television set is showcasing the visuals of some hot and sizzling spicy food.

But at last we often get struck by the longing of being able to feel that aroma..

How ever in near future we might be able to please our senses to smell the taste of that piping food(butter_chicken - my all time favourite).

Technology has pleased our eyes by delivering extra high definition videos and ears with 7.1 Dolby surround sound.and now its time for our nose.

Televisions of future might also pack the modules to reach our olfactory senses.

Currently under development is a system call SMELLIT, a brain child of nuno tuxeria.

This device is in its development stage and closely resembles DVD players and and an Ink jet printers.

The working is analogy to a ink jet printer where it replaces ink cartridges with smell cartridges of about 118 individual smells. These smell cartridges
mixes the different aromas and with the help of a fan distributes it in the entire room.

In reality these is a device like a portable DVD player and can be attached with the television set. when the DVD player reads video and audio formats from
 Ur favourite title the SMELLIT device reads the same information from the same disc and smell card decodes and process the received information within a second and the cartridge vaporizes a concentrated smell gel  and the central fan scatters 5-30 seconds prior to the video so that it gets sufficient time to
reach up to the audience.

For the time being this technology is only the concept but it will not take too long if big company shows interest and is ready to spend huge money for its large production... till then we all have to just stick with our ZEETV khana khazana.

So next time when Mr.Sanjeev Kapoor takes out my chicken dipped in butter i might be able to atleast partially smell it..
